Meuer Farm Headquarters!!

Picture
The Maze Site
The large building in the picture is our maze headquarters which is connected to our foodstand building. There is food service available outside and inside depending on the weather.  This is where the TV/Meeting area is along with all the pumpkins, gourds, maple syrup and other produce that we have for sale.  The activity area is directly behind the main building along with the farm animal exhibit area and straw fort.  General parking is on the other side of the driveway.  Bus and handicap parking are next to the main building. Watch for signs!

The maze building and activity area  are available for rent many times throughout the year!  For picnics, parties, graduations, weddings and corporate team building events.  A package can be custom tailored to what you and/or your group are looking for.  Please contact us for prices and more information at (920)418-2676.

Activity Area

Picture
Giant 80 foot tube slide sponsored by WI. Tubing; Omro, WI
Our activity area is included with the purchase of every maze or hayride ticket.  Activities in this area include the 80' tube slide that you see at right.  We have duck races available with 10 pumps for you to race your ducks from one water tank to the other.  Our large 12' x 14' corn (sand) box is filled with shell corn for the children and adults to play in. It's like walking in quick sand and we even find kids and parents burying each other in it.  We have corn cannons available to shoot at targets. This activity is supervised and there is a small fee for this activity. All ages can shoot corn cobs from the cannons at the targets to win prizes and  try to drop their cob in the 55 gal. barrel for a prize.  The corn cannons  shoot over 300 feet.  In 2010 we added water balloon sling shots to shoot at targets too!!

All kinds of things are popping up in the activity area this year!!

Mini (Logic) Mazes

Picture
There are 2 logic mazes on the lawn in the activity area this year.  This one is a number maze.   By starting at enter your goal is to reach the exit block. Each square tells you how many spaces you can move either horizontally or vertically.  The other logic maze is a colored line maze.  Remember these activities are free with your corn maze or hayride ticket!

Water Balloon Slingshots!!

Picture
These are the slingshots that were new for 2010!    This year you are shooting at Baker Cheese targets for, what else, string cheese!!  You are also shooting at the Jeep we have sitting down there.  And yes, water balloons do crack windshields!!!!   The slingshots are just to the right of the corn cannons.  Water balloons come out of the slingshot at 70 mph.   Slingshot prices are 3 shots for $2.   You can win Golden Maple Root Beer, String Cheese and even $50 if you get your water balloon in the barrel!!!

Hayrides

Picture
Another full hayride going out
Our hayride wagons, three of them, leave from the deck of the main building.  We travel past our main farm buildings and into the pasture. We continue down the lane into our valley with grazing cows and their calves along the sides of the lane.  We cross the  Brothertown Creek that runs thru our property and travel alongside it for about 1,000 feet.  After passing the grove of walnut trees, we travel into the hardwood trees following the same trails we take in the spring to collect sap from the maple trees  for making maple syrup.  We travel thru the woods and pop out the south side along farm fields about 1/4 mile west of the Niagara Escarpment.  We follow the trail back to the creek and return to the main building. The hayride takes at least a 1/2 hour and stops several times along the way for talks by the tour guide. Cows are in the pasture and you can stop to see them in the farm animal area.  All hayrides are handicap accessible.  A peaceful tour that people from 2 weeks old to 92 years young will enjoy!  A  favorite for photographers  is the view from halfway up the ledge when we pop out of the woods and the sun is beginning to set over Lake Winnebago.  It's quite a sight to see and the wagon drivers will stop for photos to be taken at that time of day!

Farm Animal Barn

Picture
Baby chicks in the farm animal area
Our Farm Animal Barn is a separate building that is located adjacent to the maze site and away from our free-roaming farm animals.  We have dairy cows and calves, beef calves, pigs, goats and chickens (that are started as chicks!).  You can interact with the animals in this building  and take photographs of them. There are signs explaining each animal's breed and their age.  When you finish checking out the animals, walk into the straw fort in the adjoining building and play in the straw mow.  There are large straw bales stacked up  to crawl around, and under and over.  And if you fall off, you land in a pile of loose straw.

Duck Races?

Picture
Back and forth the ducks go!!!!!!
What are duck races, you say??     Kids and adults place plastic ducks on the runways and pump the water to make the ducks race from one water tank to the other.   This is a favorite for young and old alike.  We even have adults racing ducks against each other.  And, of course, the duck races are located right next to our irrigation pond  where we often have real ducks landing!!!!

People Going in and out of The Corn Box

Picture
Our 12' x 14' Corn Box is just like a sand box, but is filled with shell corn instead.  lots of times we see adults and kids in there playing.  A popular  attraction for people of all ages.  Most times people take their shoes off to feel the corn between their toes. Some say it feels like walking in quick sand!

Corn Cannons!!

Picture
A   BIG  HIT   at the maze each fall are the corn cannons.  People shoot cobs of corn at  4' x 4' targets sponsored by Baker Cheese.   The cannons use air pressure and are safe to operate for all ages.  We do charge for this activity since we have to supervise it.  The prices are; 1 shot for $1,  4  shots for  $3,  and 8 shots for $5.  Hit the targets and you win Baker string cheese, drop your cob in the 50 gallon barrel, and we pay you $50!   Yes it can be done!!
