Frequently Asked Questions!

-Call the Hotline (920) 418-4777 for daily weather conditions.  Heavy rain closes the maze, as we can not be open during a thunderstorm.

-The maze you see in the video below is 10 acres in size and is NOT haunted.

-Yes there is a food-stand here with indoor seating. Brats , hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, barbecue ribs, Golden Maple Root Beer and other refreshments  are available.

- The maze and activity area, including the hayrides, are handicap accessible.  Service dogs only are allowed, however no other pets are allowed due to the farm animals we have here on the grounds.

- You should wear comfortable walking shoes.  Remember there are 3 miles of paths in the maze. Preferably an old pair of shoes if it has rained lately.  We do mulch the paths with wood chips, but remember you are still walking in a cornfield, not on a sidewalk.  There is less or no wind in the maze due to the tall corn. Dress appropriately too!

- The closings times of 5:00 pm. and 10:00 pm. are when we stop selling tickets.  We are open till EVERYONE is out of the maze.  We are open weeknights  after 6:00 pm. for  groups that want to walk the night time maze.  This is by appointment only!

-For directions to our farm, check the bottom of the home page.  We are located on Hwy. 151 between Appleton and Fond du lac along the east side of Lake Winnebago, about a 1/2 mile North of the Village of Brothertown.  Not near Valders.  You can go to Google maps and enter Meuer Farm for directions too!

- Corn Cops are our employees wearing orange vests and name tags. They carry flashlights at night.  They help people by answering their questions, giving directions  or helping them exit the maze. Please let us know if our Corn Cops are helpful!

The 2012 Maze Bridge spans  8 feet over one of the paths below.  The bridge is located in Phase 2 of the maze.

The 2012 Bridge was placed in in the maze on May 31,2012, and is ready for the corn to grow up around it!!

Looking  Down  the  Steps !!!!!

Picture
The  top platform that you stand on is 9 feet above the ground!!   This view shows you the handrails and the 14 steps to the bottom.

View from The Bridge !!!

Picture
As you can see from this photo, when you are on top of the bridge, you can see down several paths in the maze.   This will help to give you a bird's eye view of the maze,  so you can get your bearings...   MAYBE !!!!

The Maze Paths

Picture
We  mulch all the paths in the maze with wood chips to protect them from heavy rain.   Since we have heavy red clay soils  this makes the paths accessible even after heavy rains.  However you should dress appropriately for walking in a corn field.   If we have a lot of rain,  it is impossible to eliminate all mud.

The Corn Maze!!

Children in the maze
The cornfield maze is comprised of 10 acres of field.  There is one design, that is divided up into 2 separate mazes.  A smaller one,  phase 1 , (3-4 acres) and a larger one,  phase 2,  (6-7 acres).  You can not cross from one maze to the other, and there are separate entrances and exits for both.  Your admission to the maze includes both phases of the maze along with the activity area.  Located throughout the mazes are sign posts numbered 1 thru 10.  After you get your maze ticket,  you will have your choice of  categories with clues.  They have questions on them numbered 1 thru 10.  You enter the maze and look for the first signpost,  face the signpost and answer the question.  Getting the answer right will give you the correct way to go.  At dark there is an addition charge for the maze and this includes  a  6", 12-hour,  glow-stick that we give you to go thru the maze .  The glow-stick is yours to keep.  We have (Corn Cops) in orange vests and name tags that patrol the maze.  If you get lost, need help, or want to get out,  you can ask them for help.   For maze weekend specials and announcements about special guest appearances,  log on to  www.1039WVBO.com  or listen to  103.9 WVBO  for details and updates.
